Let Us Consider His Creation

"Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they do not work or spin; but I tell you, not even Solomon with all his glory was dressed like one of them. And if the grass of the field that is today, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, God clothes it like this, will he not do much more to you, men of little faith?" (Matthew 6:28-30).

I am a photography buff; I really enjoy photographing nature. I especially take macro photos, that is, I get images of small objects magnified directly by the camera lens (close-up photos).

I am not an entomologist, but I really enjoy photographing small insects. Over the years I have managed to collect a good number of images of butterflies from my country. When I look at them through the viewfinder of my camera, I get extremely excited. I frame, briefly catch my breath, focus and shoot.

But many times, before pressing the shutter and contemplating in ecstasy every detail of what I am going to photograph, when observing its figures and shapes, its colors, the designs of its wings, their symmetry, I am so amazed by the wisdom, the God's power and love that moved me, I breathed rapidly and many times I ended up missing the shot.

Yes, I marvel at God's creation. Only he can do those things, and he does them out of love for us. When I think that I am more important to him than all creation, when I remember that he cares for me, that he provides for me and sustains me, that he will do more for me than he does for any of the beautiful things he has created, I cannot stop to praise and thank him.

Despite all the beauty and majesty of creation, we are worth so much more. Therefore, if God holds the universe in his hands and sustains it, he will do much more for us every day. Don't worry about the things you need, because God knows what they are... and he will surely do something for you! (Pr. Jose R. Frontado / Venezuela).
