A Greater Privilege

"But when it pleased God… to reveal his Son in me" (Gal. 1:15-16).

Even if I could do it, I would not change my place with that of the disciples, not even with that of those three who were on the mount of transfiguration. The Christ with whom they lived was limited by time and space. Was he in Galilee? So he couldn't be in Jerusalem. He was he in Jerusalem? Then it would be in vain to look for him in Galilee.

But today, Christ is not limited by time or space, for he lives in the power of endless life, and the Father was pleased to reveal him in my heart. He was with them intermittently; however, he is with me always.

They knew him according to the flesh, they saw him, they touched him, they lived in close contact with him. "...though we have known Christ after the flesh, yet now henceforth know we him no more" (2 Cor. 5:16). However, I know him in truth, for I know him as it pleased God that he was known. Has not God given us a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him? (Watchman Nee).
