Broken with a Purpose

"Yet I will rejoice in the Lord and be glad in the God of my salvation" (Habakkuk 3:18).

What did Jesus do with the bread that the Galilean boy gave him? He broke it. God will always break what is offered to him. He parts what he receives, and uses it to supply the needs of men.

Isn't this our experience? We surrender to the Lord, and things begin to go so badly that we are tempted to doubt his ways.

To persist in such an attitude is, in truth, to be divided. But for what purpose? We have come too far for the world to use us, but we still haven't gone far enough for God. This is the tragedy of many believers.

Do we long for him to use us? So, let us continue to give our lives to him, day after day, without criticizing his methods, but accepting the way he treats us, with praise and expectation. (Watchman Nee).
